Job Description
Sheet fed Pressroom Manager
Requirements:
o Three to six years of experience in a technical/pressman role*
o Three to six years of experience in a management/supervisory role* *
o Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with other departments*
o Exceptional leadership and teambuilding skills
o Experience leading continuous improvement initiative, specifically Six Sigma, Lean or TPM
o Strong problem solving skills and established ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
Job Responsibilities:
o Solid understanding printing
o Develop and train operators in upcoming printing technologies that are employed in the plant.
o Document training techniques and develop procedures.
o Communicate production results to production teams.
o Supervise all aspect of production in a team-oriented manner
o Participate in customer press approvals and color matching
o Provide leadership and management to improve the operational efficiencies.
o Proven ability to drive change through strong management leadership and coaching
o Able to monitor and drive continuous improvement on cost, safety, quality and service.
o Knowledgeable in the basics of Lean Manufacturing and understanding of related topics (5S, Kaizen, JIT, etc.)
o Consistently up to date with the leading edge of technology
o Conform to Business compliance in Print Quality, Safety, Employment Standards, etc.
