Job Summary:The position will play a key leadership role in the development, presentation and implementation of strategic plans, analyses, reports, budgets, and forecasts necessary to grow the resort EBITDA and ensure the business success.

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

General Responsibilities:

1. Identifies and helps manage the resort financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.

2. Improves financial status by analyzing and interpreting data; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.

3. Develops financial models, and performs strategic and competitive analyses to analyze, manage and grow the business

4. Helps lead the completion of the annual budgets and business plans

5. Assists with new business development and implementing financial recommendations

6. Performs lift, lodging and ancillary division pricing and product analyses to maximize revenue

7. Provides cost analyses, and helps establish, monitor and enforce expense policies and procedures

8. Reports on financial status through report creation and management reporting, both internally and to the corporate office

9. Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential and ensuring correct financial reporting

10. Assist with the transition and implementation of a new ERP system

Management Responsibilities:

11. Leadership: Contributes to collective team effort by being a resort leader. Provides financial support to executive team and department managers related to their financial business objectives. Creates communication on regular basis that allows for appropriate,
nimble business decisions that benefit the company's financial results.

12. Integrity & Compliance: Comply with Federal and California Labor law in phases of the payroll and employment process; from hiring through termination, as well as all Company policies & procedures.

13. Commitment to Service: Achieve continuous improvement in operational objectives by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. Contribute information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews

14. Financial: Responsible for creating and maintaining budgets. Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget; managing expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

15. Safety: Establish, implement, and enforce safety standards in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as State & Federal laws.

1. Financial Skills: Financial modeling, Developing Standards, Problem Solving, Process Improvement, Financial Planning and Strategy, Reporting Research Results, Requirements Analysis, Corporate Finance.

2. Communication: Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally across all levels of the organization. Able to effectively present information to management, employees, and customers.

3. Organization: Demonstrate ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manages resources and time. Excellent organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.

4. Reasoning Ability: Able to make independent judgments which have considerable impacts on the organization. Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

5. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.

6. Working knowledge of computers including MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)

7. Understanding of ERP systems


1. 1-2 years if ski industry experience in Finance or Accounting

Education and Experience:


1. BA or Masters in Finance or Accounting

2. Seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

3. Three years transferable experience in Financial Analyst role

4. License/certificates/accreditations
